Punctuation Power Signs & Interactive Journal Activities Foldables

Would you like to help your students master the difference between a statement, question, and exclamation sentence?  This Punctuation Power pack helps students analyze the differences between these kinds of sentences.  The file has various activities to last a week and/or cover a small unit on different kinds of sentences.

This file contains the following based on a superhero theme:

-Small size charts for students’ journal detailing what constructs a statement, question, and exclamation sentence (color and black and white)
-Small size charts for students’ journal detailing what constructs a declarative, interrogative, and exclamatory sentence (color and black and white)
-8 ½ X 11 size anchor charts/posters signs detailing what constructs a statement, question, and exclamation sentence (color)
-8 ½ X 11 size anchor charts/posters signs detailing what constructs a declarative, interrogative, and exclamatory sentence (color)
-3 different foldable activities for students to complete (directions and examples are included).  These are great for their interactive journal.
-1 Punctuation Power Scrabble- There are 2 kinds of scrabble documents: one activity uses the words statement, question, and exclamation while the other scrabble activity contains the words declarative, question, and exclamatory.  Answer keys are included.

The different activities suit all learners so students are able to make a connection with each type of sentence and its corresponding punctuation mark.  These activities could be used for whole and small group, centers, and differentiated instruction.  Likewise, the activities are suited for advanced and gifted students.
